JOB TITLE: Receiving and Inventory Clerk
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Operations
DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Executive Director
POSITIONS MANAGED: None
SALARY RANGE $17-25 per hour
SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Receiving and Inventory Clerk will perform duties and responsibilities outlined below, as well as other duties as assigned.
NOTE: Performance reviews are conducted annually upon the anniversary of your hire date. Raises and promotions are based on merit, (job performance, work ethics, attendance, etc.) which will be at the discretion of the Executive and Program Directors. Raises are not guaranteed upon review.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with procurement project lead and/or Program Coordinators to list expected deliveries

Collaborate with Program Coordinators to ensure maintenance of inventory

Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt

Unload packages from incoming trucks
-
Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
-
Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)

Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified
-
Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements

Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place

Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries

Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control

Prepare and distribute weekly supplies to programs

Entering and maintaining orders through the procurement programs and adherence to all

procurement procedures

Complete all required annual training

Review and acknowledge all company policies and procedures through Compliance Bridge

Any other tasks assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:

ï‚· Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position
-
ï‚· Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data/Strong computer skills

ï‚· Solid understanding of health and safety regulations

ï‚· Basic math and recording abilities

ï‚· Excellent organizational skills

ï‚· Great communication and interpersonal abilities

ï‚· Keen eye for detail

ï‚· Good physical condition

ï‚· Ability to lift up to 40 pounds at a time unassisted

ï‚· Experience in operating pallet jack recommended

ï‚· Must be able to learn and apply new skills and knowledge with or without routine training.

ï‚· Works well with others, possesses a high degree of interpersonal skills, and is able to create a working relationship with external vendors.

ï‚· Sets high personal standards for consistent above average performance.

ï‚· Must have the ability to deal with stressful situations in a calm manner.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Recommended to have high school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of related experience recommended.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have reasonable mental and physical ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, legs, and body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and the handling of materials. May be required to lift up to 75 pounds with the assistance of another person and/or equipment.
